THE NAME
Xrysostom (Golden Mouth) was the honorary title given to one of the great preachers and theologians of the early Christian Church. As you might guess, I'm also a preacher and a theologian.
WHAT I DO
I'm a parish pastor in Emma, Missouri
I also edit a newspaper and internet column called Ask the Pastor.
With my father, I'm author of a catechetical book for prospective Lutherans, a husband and a father.
I grew up in The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod and am steeped in orthodox, Confessional Lutheran Theology.
The third pastor in my family, I try to remember the history and tradition of the Lutheran Church while communicating it afresh to each new generation.
